WarHorses for Heroes provides no-cost, equine-assisted programs and hands-on training opportunities for veterans, with a focus on emotional resilience, trust-building, and community reintegration.
Veterans participate in weekly therapy sessions that are tailored to meet their individual needs. The activities in the sessions range from grooming and groundwork to learning advanced skills in the saddle. Each session is designed to build our veterans' trust and confidence as well as help them develop deep emotional connections with our WarHorses and their fellow comrades.

EAPD Sessions are a collaboration between a horse professional and a therapist or counselor. These sessions offer participants educational and emotional support while working with the horses on the ground
Our Therapeutic Riding Sessions are led by one of our knowledgeable, PATH certified, instructors with a licensed therapist present. During these sessions, our heroes learn to build a trusting and meaningful relationship with the WarHorses through grooming, groundwork, and riding.
Advanced Lessons are offered to veterans who have completed 6-12 weeks of therapeutic riding sessions. These lessons give the veterans a chance to further their horsemanship by learning more active skills.
If you or a loved one is a veteran who could benefit from the healing
power of horses, we would love to connect! You can contact us here:
