After a few successful weeks with the veterans, we have added another weekly session!  Another therapist saw value in the equine activities that WarHorses for Heroes is hosting, and has begun to bring new patients out for a 6 week equine program.  We are teaching the veterans to groom, lead, and interact with our horses, but the veterans are teaching us so much about the power of meeting a horse for the first time.

We have recently connected with the VA, and through a wonderful new partnership, we were able to invite our first veterans out to the farm to meet our eager warhorses!  They got to groom a horse, then we put a western saddle on Jeb and led a few of them around our indoor arena.  Thank goodness for our indoor on gloomy winter days! On the right you can see Billy explaining how to correctly clean out a horse's hoof.

We are so excited to get started, and so grateful for the therapists at the VA who are supporting our efforts and connecting us with veterans in need!
