WarHorses

#HorsesForOurForces

Our WarHorses are truly a special breed. Like our Heroes, they go above and beyond the call of duty to serve those who have served. Their docile nature and therapeutic abilities earn them a place in the hearts of our staff and veterans.
Rocky

Rocky

Rocky is a miniature horse with a large personality! He’s been known to pull a carriage, but has mostly acted as the Oak View Stables, and recently as a WarHorses barn mascot.

Casey

Casey

Casey is a teenage Appaloosa that has spent countless hours teaching small children how to ride.  He has a small frame but a huge personality.  His slow, smooth stride makes him a star with the veterans.

Jeb

Jeb

Jeb is a 10 year old Tennessee walking horse who arrived at WarHorses for Heroes and Oak View Stables after acting as a trail riding horse and backyard companion for an elderly gentlemen.  His calm and stable nature is perfect for providing beginner riders new confidence.

Rebel

Rebel

Rebel is a Percheron in his twenties.  When he's not pulling a carriage or riding in side saddle competitions, he can be found loving on a veteran.

Barney

Barney

Barney is a middle-aged draft horse and our local "gentle giant".  At over 17 hands, he is the largest of the bunch.  Don't be fooled by his size because Barney is a big teddy bear on the inside.  He is happy whether he's pulling a carriage, riding side saddle, or hanging with the veterans.
