“Spending time with horses has been one of the most healing activities in my life and as an adult, I have been vastly interested in how psychologists can use the equine in their practices. My grandfather was a radio carrier in Iwo Jima in WWII, so the mission of WarHorses for Heroes is so very close to my heart. I am just thrilled to be involved and lend my time for our organization.”
Ever since her first ride at the age of 7 on Lacy, the paint horse with big floppy ears, Sara Beth has been one of those “horse crazy girls.” From childhood growing pains to adult stresses, Sara Beth touts that riding horses has kept her sane throughout her life.
In her day job, Sara Beth works for a large corporation setting the stage for new business opportunities through events and marketing communications. For WarHorses for Heroes, she oversees our external communications and directs our fundraising event efforts.
